The Museum of the Mexican Army and Air Force in the city of Puebla, shows the participation of the state of Puebla in transcendental moments for Mexico.
It was Inaugurated on November 18, 2014, the Museum was erected in the facilities of the former Viceroyalty College of San Francisco Xavier dating from 1743 dedicated to educate the indigenous population until 1754. After the expulsion of the Jesuits from New Spain in 1767 it ceased to function.
It has 2,200 square meters, where pieces are exhibited, some of which were donated by the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and others by private institutions.
Throughout the 14 rooms of the Mexican Army and Air Force Museum, visitors can recall eras such as pre-Hispanic times, the Revolution and the life and work of Ignacio Zaragoza, to name a few.
Its appropriate location in the center of the city of Puebla and its museographic attractiveness has allowed it to occupy a very special place at national level, becoming one of the main disseminators of Military History.

This Museum of the Army and Armed Forces of the City of Puebla has 14 exhibition halls:
Historic building for being the place where the largest siege of the French troops in Puebla took place.
It is possible to observe how the site, which also housed the 2 de abril elementary school, a church and the former state penitentiary, was constituted.
This room shows the evolution of the Mexican Army, from its beginnings in pre-Hispanic times, the Mexica army and the current version of the armed forces.
It is also possible to admire some instruments made of wood and stone.
In the representation of the time of the Conquest it is specified that only 508 Spanish soldiers participated in the act, and that they received the help of Mexicans, who did not agree with the Mexica power.
The picture of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla stands out, since it is inspired by a real photograph of the "father of the fatherland", obtained by Claudio Linati de Prévost, journalist.
In the following rooms are the stages of the American Intervention, the Porfiriato and the birth of the Mexican Constitutionalist Army, with Venustiano Carranza as leader.
The exhibition also presents photos and archives of Squadron 201, mentioning pilots, supply managers, cooks, as well as the 250 military elements that were part of the Mexican Army.
Likewise, there is recognition for the women and children of Puebla who were present in the Revolutionary movement.
It is one of the most representative rooms, for being one of the youngest generals of the Mexican Army, as well as for his work in Puebla, during the Battle of May 5, 1862.
Visitors can observe the history of the uniforms worn by elements of the militia, ranging from dress, work and cadet outfits.
There are also the distinctions between military schools, and the rights and obligations of members of the armed forces.
- A Boeing-Stearman Model 75, a multi-purpose aircraft.
- Also, in Room 7 there is a reference to the "Sonora" biplane, the first aircraft that participated in the naval air battle of Topolobampo, in Sinaloa.
- It also refers to the history of the Mexican Air Force and the 201st Squadron that participated in World War II providing support to the allied forces.
